Oneplus 2: Most Talked About Design

The OnePlus 2 just blew us away. We were impressed from the moment we opened the box. The model we tested is the Black Sandstone, identical to the model year. The granular plastic back cover is pleasing to the eye and to the touch but slightly seems less upscale than the OnePlus. However, the metal edges add a significant premium smartphone side.  In general, it was clearly the feeling of having a high-end phone in hand. Some may criticize too close to design the first model. OnePlus however has the merit to be consistent in its proposal. The smartphone features curved lines on the back to facilitate its handling. From our perspective, we think the OnePlus 2 is a comfortable size. Not too big for pockets or hands, or too small for its multimedia features. The metal edges are wide enough and soft enough not to interfere, unlike Galaxy S6 Edge. Unlike OnePlus the OnePlus 2 is not proposed in her white dress, but the rear facades are interchangeable at just 1499 AED.

How do you find its charging? Well here you go! OnePlus 2 also introduces USB Type-C for charging. The cable itself is thick and without entanglement. The male end is robust and offers a comfortable fit, unlike the Apple cable which seems very fragile. Unfortunately, you'll have to carry the charger around with you for a while, at least until this type of cable is more widespread. Regrettably, it does not support fast charging with the cable provided - or any other cable - or wireless charging.

Nevertheless, the OnePlus 2 offers a new option called "Alert Slider" on its left edge. Similar to the iPhone button, it switches between multiple audio modes, letting you choose between three profiles. However, there is one aspect of design is the new home button. What looks like a physical key is actually a capacitive button that incorporates a fingerprint reader. Once you press the button, you will receive tactile feedback which can also be disabled if you need to conserve battery power. Overall, we rate this as a well-designed phone.
